NRSG 239 - Leadership & Transition to Practice

4 Credits


The focus of this course is to support the transition to nursing practice and develop leadership qualities. Students engage in assignments to prepare for state certification and develop skills to secure future employment. Practice with verbal/written communication and leadership strategies are provided. To prepare future nurses to navigate healthcare systems and policy, a student capstone project addressing quality improvement and safety processes to enhance patient outcomes will be created and presented. Students will also receive NCLEX study and strategies support as well as an NCLEX Readiness Exam to guide their preparation beyond nursing school.
